3.8L V8

2023, the final year for the Ford GT model. The unfortunate statement comes bittersweet, as Ford crafts and releases the final send off, the GT Mark IV. A track only car meant to pay homage to the GT legacy, with updated design choices to give it a more futuristic flare. The 67 GT Mark IV’s were all handcrafted, adding another layer of care to the final model of the legacy. A redesigned EcoBoost engine sport twin turbos is what pushes the Mark IV to 800+ horsepower, giving this model a power to weight ratio of 0.291, substantially better than the previous Gen II model. Seeing this car in person is unreal, I went from critical to awestruck on first sight. The Mark IV is like a concept car made real, just as curvy as it is aggressive where it needs to be. The thought of no more GT’s being made is a sad one, and maybe someday they’ll come back, but if not, Fords final model is an amazing final statement.
